T's Bakery
A moment to unwind in the city.
At ティーズベーカリー in Kuramae, find a generous selection of egg-free breads, including a soy cream bun, cinnamon rolls and calzones. Take your choices to go or enjoy them with coffee at the bakery.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
In a corner of Kuramae’s residential streets, a red door and sign mark the entrance. Inside, small natural-yeast breads are lined up in a glass case. One of the defining features of ティーズベーカリー is its generous selection of breads baked without eggs. Among them, the soy cream bun is a favourite with people who avoid eggs, and its gentle sweetness has earned praise.
For something sweet, there is also a cinnamon roll, charmingly shaped like a muffin and topped with glaze. The simple sweet breads make easy eating: anpan wraps moderately sweet red bean paste in a thin layer of dough, while raisin bread balances the fruit’s sweetness with a touch of salt in the dough. Fig walnut bread, generously made with figs, and chewy walnut bread let their flavours unfold with every bite.
Savoury breads are well represented, too. The calzone is packed with filling, while the crisp bacon baguette is seasoned with pepper. Everyday staples such as salt bread and shokupan are also on offer. Take them home, or settle in for a light bite with coffee at the counter or another of the bakery’s dine-in seats.
Stop by during a weekday stroll and pick out a favourite.
